This hands-on, three-day course offers a practical introduction to lime plaster as a key material in conserving heritage buildings, including mixing and applying lime plasters, renders and mortars.
Led by experienced plasterer and SPAB Fellow, Daahir Mohamed, the course provides a solid foundation in the principles, materials, and techniques of traditional lime plastering. Alongside demonstrations and guided practice, participants will explore the wider significance of lime in sustainable building repair and heritage conservation. The course also includes an introduction to career pathways within the heritage plastering and conservation trades.
